BINGO PROGRAM

The bingo program for 2008 - 2009 has two options:

1. A buy out option to be declared by April 15, 2008, requiring a non-refundable non-participation fee of $700.00 for single child families and $980.00 for multiple children families payable by August 1, 2008.
2. A participation option requiring yearly sign-ups by March 2008, and the completion of five bingos for single child families and seven bingos for multiple children families.

BUY-OUT OPTION

The pre-registration packet for 2008 - 2009 school year contains the form BINGO AND SCRIP PROGRAM AGREEMENTS. This form must be completed and submitted to school by April 15, 2008. Late declarations will not be accepted. Choosing this buy-out option requires a non-refundable $700.00 non-participation fee for single child families and $980.00 for multiple children families payable in full by August 1, 2008.
At $700.00 for five bingo shifts, one pays $140.00 per shift to buy out. At $980.00 for seven bingo shifts, the cost per shift will also be $140.00.
Non-payment of this fee will result in assigned bingo dates (five dates for one child families and seven dates for multiple children families) to be worked between September 1, 2008 and April 30, 2009.

PARTICIPATION OPTION

1. Families with one child are required to work five bingos per year and families with two or more children are required to work seven bingos per year.
2. Arrival time for the first shift is 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. for the second shift.
3. Set up teams, counter/game sales teams, bankers, callers, and team leaders are independently scheduled to complete their bingo requirements. These positions require in-service training.
4. Failure to work a scheduled Bingo assignment results in a $200.00 penalty payable within 30 days. Non payment of any Bingo fines may result in the family being excluded from registering any children for the 2009 - 2010 school year.

It is the responsibility of the family to find a replacement if unable to work a scheduled Bingo assignment. The reminder is mailed as a courtesy only.

*Replacement person(s) must be approved prior to scheduled assignment. It is desirable to trade work assignments between fellow parents, as this helps all parent-workers function efficiently. Non-approved individuals will not be accepted.

5. Families with eighth graders must complete all Bingo work requirements or pay outstanding fines be April 24, 2009. Failure to complete these requirements may result in the eighth grader being excluded from all graduation activities including the ceremony.
6. The yearly sign-up calendar for 2008 - 2009 was put out from March 3, through March 14, 2008. Parents were notified through the weekly newsletter of these dates. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER TIME TO SIGN UP . After the assigned date, the Bingo scheduler will assign work dates for families that didn’t sign up themselves on the calendar. Families will be assigned to only one nightly Bingo position. Each family will receive a master Bingo schedule.
7. All substitutes must be cleared through the Bingo Coordinator and the Principal. All substitutes must be by law, 18 years of age or older. Non-approved substitutes will not be utilized for the scheduled assignment and responsible family will be fined as a
no-show.
