History: The Mexican-American Catholic Federation was formed in 1964. After a group of people from the Mexican community gathered to request a Spanish Mass on Sundays, the priest requested an organization be formed to represent the community and in return they would have a Spanish Mass. The organization was named Federacion Catolica Mexicana, and they were to be represented by the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
